Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Quick-witted and Responsive.
A Wheaten Terrier is a happy, steady dog and shows
itself gaily with an air of self-confidence. It is very alert and
exhibits interest in its surroundings. It is less aggressive
than is sometimes encouraged in many of the other terriers,
but the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is definitely not timid.
It is a medium size dog, hardy, active, spirited and game
sporting terrier, square in outline. It is distinguished by
its soft, silky, gently waving coat of warm wheaten color,
and its particularly steady disposition.
The Wheaten Terrier is very good natured, intelligent,
affectionate and loyal. Its hair is non-shedding and is cut
rather than stripped and it requires a daily brushing. It is
a very popular family pet suitable for the city or the country.
A Wheaten Terrier puppy, like all puppies should be well
socialized and early obedience training is always a
good and very rewarding idea too. |
